Hunter Agility Equivalence Points (HAEP), or Math for Insomniacs.

As some of you may know, I played a Rogue through level 30...big deal, right? Well in levelling I found it indispensible to use the shadowpanther.net website, which gives all pieces of equipment an Agility Equivalence Point (AEP), from here you can determine what piece of equipment is better of two. This is particularly useful in twinking, something I like to do in my spare time on Markantony on the Shadow Council server.

I got to wondering if there was a similar spreadsheet designed for Hunters and went about trying to create my own, and to use Cheeky's spreadsheet as well. Well, I could only consume so much time at work before I felt bad, so I instead lucked upon a website designed by Kirrina:

Equipment Comparison Guide using Hunter Agility Equivalence Points

This beauty of a website is truly a sight to behold as it allows you to choose the equipment slot you are looking to compare and then provides a list of the top items receiving HAEPs. You can also choose from some of the pre-definied specs via a dropdown at the top.

So, for me, a quick switch to the pre-set Beast Mastery, I could see that for the Head slot, my newly crafted Surestrike Goggles v2.0 were better than the Stalker's Helm of Second Sight that I had equipped. I made a couple other changes from what I was wearing before finding this site, and am pleased with the results so far.

This is a link that is definitely being added to the sidebar as I visit it often.

Enjoy and thanks to Kirrina, wherever you are.
